Is this image resizer free?
Yes. You can use it 3 times without signing up. After that, a free one-time sign-up (email and phone) gives you full access to every RoundPatch tool. There is no watermark. Access is subject to our Terms of Use.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Your image is processed entirely in your browser on your own device. It is never uploaded to RoundPatch or anyone else.
What is the difference between Crop to fill and Fit inside?
Crop to fill covers the whole canvas and trims whatever falls outside your frame. Fit inside keeps the entire image and adds a background colour (or transparency for PNG and WebP) around it, which is useful for product photos on square marketplace listings.
Are the social media sizes up to date?
The presets use widely recommended dimensions, but platforms change their guidance from time to time. You can always type exact dimensions in the custom size fields.
Does resizing remove photo metadata?
Yes. Images are redrawn in the browser, so camera details and GPS location stored in the original file are not included in the downloaded image.
