This policy explains what personal data RoundPatch collects through roundpatch.com, why we collect it and how we look after it. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to reply to you and to run our free tools, and we never sell your data.
The short version
No analytics or advertising trackers. Images you use in our tools stay on your device. We use your contact details only to reply to you, give you tool access and, if you opt in, send occasional updates.
1. What we collect
When you contact us
Our contact form asks for your name, work email, company, the services you’re interested in, your timeline and your message. We also record the page you sent it from. We store the enquiry on our website and send it to our team’s inbox, and we email you a confirmation.
When you sign up for the free tools
After a few free uses, the tools ask for your email address and phone number. We store these with your consent choices, the tool you were using and the page you signed up on, and we send you a welcome email.
When you use the free tools
- Images stay on your device. The image resizer, converter and compressor run in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to us.
- Usage counts. To apply the free-use limit, we count uses against a one-way, salted hash of your IP address. We can’t turn the hash back into your IP address, and the counts expire after 90 days.
- Meta Tag Checker. When you check a page, our server fetches the public web address you enter so it can read its tags. We don’t keep a record of the pages you check.
When you browse the site
Like every website, our hosting provider’s servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts.
2. Cookies
We set one cookie for visitors: rp_tools_member, a signed cookie that remembers your free-tool sign-up so you aren’t asked again. It lasts up to one year and contains no personal details. If you log in to manage the site, WordPress sets its own essential login cookies.
3. How we use your data
- to reply to your enquiry and discuss your project;
- to give you access to the free tools and prevent misuse;
- to send marketing updates, only if you opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- to keep the site secure and working properly.
We process your data because you asked us to (your enquiry or sign-up), because you consented (marketing updates) or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting the site.
4. Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our web hosting and email provider, and only for that purpose. If we start using a CRM or email marketing platform to manage enquiries, we’ll update this policy. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and sign-up details for as long as we need them to work with you or provide tool access, and delete them when they’re no longer needed or when you ask us to. Free-tool usage counts expire after 90 days.
6. Security
The site runs over HTTPS, access to stored data is restricted to our team, and our tools are designed to process files on your device rather than on our servers.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for visitors in the EU and UK, the GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it. Email hello@roundpatch.com and we’ll respond promptly.
8. Children
Our site and tools are intended for professionals and aren’t directed at children under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page if the way we handle data changes, and change the date at the top.
